No, It hasn't been two weeks, YET

It hasn't been two weeks since my last posting...so I'm doing this posting a little early. I just want everyone to know that I am on my way to make some chocolate chip cookies. Are you saying, "Gee, she hasn't posted in so long because she has been busy making chocolate chip cookies?" The next time you see my mid-section, you won't have to wonder anymore!

I love my pictures of Marin's Birthday

There are so many parts to Marin's personality. Her birthday gave us a chance to watch her in action.

A story about my mom

The other night mom was doing her crossword puzzles and I asked her how she got started doing them. Here's her story. She was working at a soda shop. As she walked to work each day she passed a book store with a window display showing the books available...of course. She noticed a crossword puzzle book and just kind of wondered about it for awhile. At one point the book was open for the public to see what was inside. She studied it and thought to herself..."That is something I could do..." It still took awhile, but eventually she actually went into the store and bought her first crossword puzzle book. She still enjoys working those crossword puzzles even though it takes great effort because it is hard for a lefty to write with the right hand.

Okay, so I tried to do two pictures and only one of them showed up...here's the other one.

Sooo, I "posted" it before I added the picture...it's just me, being me. Here's the pictures of Grandma and 2 of her gr.gerandkids.

It's always precious to have a picture with the Great Grandma. This one happens to be a good one of the newest gr.grandkid and the gr. grandma.

Grandma Betty and two of her great-grandkids...

Everybody loves Grandma Betty!

A Sunday afternoon at the Jones'

Bailey is an expert at entertaining herself and others! Her Grandma Linda found this 'cat/witch' tutu for Bailey. Bailey twirls and dances even with a gardenia in her mouth. She doesn't even need anyone watching her...but who wouldn't want to? There are sooo many Bailey stories.

Wanted: Three kids lined up for the Wiggles Concert

Doesn't it look like three guilty kids at a police line-up. I swear they didn't do it! They would NEVER do anything wrong.

Two Cousins Reviewing the Wiggles Concert

The picture speaks for itself. It also melts me. What a couple of cuties.

The Making of Grandma Memories

Thursday night I was invited to go to the Wiggles Live Concert with Morgan and Bailey. I was a default guest because Easton (darling, Easton) was just too young at 8 days old to appreciate the Wiggles. But, oh the joy of watching Bailey, Carter, and Marin was almost too much for a Grandma to take. Morgan bought Bailey the "Dorothy tu-tu". She is still wearing it two days later. Just enjoy these pictures of 3/7ths of Grandma Susie's grandkids.

The Saturday before Easter...

Yep, the Saturday before Easter found Megan at the Easter Egg Hunt swinging to and fro with a big smile on the playground swings. I think my favorite view is the 'fro'.

The Saturday before Easter...

Isn't is a beautiful spring day? The Witt kids (belonging to the other Half-Witt) asked us to go to an Easter Egg hunt in Loomis. Emily and her beau (soon to be a permanent fixture)David brought Mckenzie, Jackson, and Lukas. April and her beau (soon to be a permanent fixture) Peter brought Amanda and Maile. The kids had a great time chasing down those illusive Easter eggs. Again, what a beautiful spring day!

Did you know that Megan is an excellent cook?

It was Easter Sunday and we needed a special something to celebrate the day. Megan got busy and made a delicious homemade (well almost...we made it at home) lemon merangue (how close is the spelling?) pie and (wait until you read this!) a unique Jello salad. Please notice Megan's happy face and her ballet pointed toes...such a necessary part of a great cook. The jelly bean Jello topping was a real award winner. Hey, should we enter our recipe into a cooking contest? It's all up to Megan.

Ahha! Now I know what Mom (Grandma Betty) does when she is home alone.

When I woke up Saturday morning, I found these binocculars beside Mom's wheelchair. Hmmm. I wondered why they were there. Then I knew...we have a really nice man (a little younger than Mom/Grandma Betty living next door to us. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Could she be watching him from a distance? MOM! you should be ashamed of yourself!
