Oh NO! I'm such a beginner!

I really meant for this blogg to begin with the entry just above the storm picture. SO, it is published all backwards. There must be another way to correct it besides doing it all over again. Let's see if I make the same mistake again in the future. Don't be surprised if it happens. AHHHHHH, another blogg scream!

Lindsay got new jeans - she loves 'em (of course she does).

Lins wanted me to edit the top part of the photo, but it's only part of a picture without the whole Lindsay. She wants you to notice the pockets if you can.

Carter and his 131, 141, or 150 ish cars

Yep, that is Lindsay down there trying to count the cars with Carter running up and down doing his own counting which created a problem for Lindsay maintaining the correct counting order. Carter 'helped' his dad count the cars earlier today (Sunday) with yet another different total number. When I went to their house last night I was so impressed with the precision line that Carter made...after Marin was in bed.

Part 2 - a great Saturday! The little angel...

Marin likes to sleep with many friends. In this picture she has her two identical blankets, her 'baby', her kitty, her huge donkey, her huge elephant, and her pillow. You might think she would feel a little cramped...NO! These things are at her insistance. I guess comfort means different things to different people.

Here's the family photo - including the mildly abused dog, Tess.

Here's a family with WAAAYYY to much personality! As I sit and just absorb the atmosphere, I end up laughing. They are so much fun to be around. And that's part of the reason it was such a great Saturday. But there's more...

Here's the hat and taffy!

A picture is worth a thousand words.

A GREAT Saturday!

Morgan wanted to surprise Andie and take her out, so I got to go over and "watch" Bailey (which really means to entertain me) for a few hours. I loved it. We had so much fun! When Andie and Morgan got home, they had a few 'gifts' for Bailey - saltwater taffy and a wild, red furry hat.

The Impending Storm

There is a storm coming this afternoon that will last through tomorrow. Mickey and I were leaving WalMart when I noticed a group of birds SCREECHING at each other from this tree. There were at least thirty before I clapped my hands in excitement. Sometimes I really do feel like a first grader. My thought,as I listened to their screaming was...they know something is in the air. Then my next thought...does Heavenly Father and the Savior use the quiet voice of the prophets - not screeching- to tell us there is something in the air? Is there a storm coming?

Comlete is relly speled complete

A comlete technology week end (the week end of Feb. 2/8/08)

Sophie and Mark joined Megan for another successful techno weekend. I always learn so much and laugh while doing it. I LOVE my red laptop. I LOVE my husband for giving it to me and welcoming my technology team in for the frequent inservices.

The classroom - As per Megan's request

Yep this is my classroom as of February 13th. Notice there is not a picture of my desk...there's a good reason. It's a mess. I am a stop and drop person. I'll do it tomorrow - will 'tomorrow' ever really come? My whole room will be cleaned by March 13th as I prepare for the hordes of parents swooping down on my classroom to check-it-out. AHHHHHH (that's a blog scream)

Tag you're it!

Friday, February 8, 2008
A Different Kind of Annoying Tag.
I'm tagging:
Megan
Whitney
Caitlyn
Haley
Mallory
Lauren
Aunt Sue
Janeen

Give your answers and I'll give mine later.

If you could roll around in a tub of something, what would it be? the filling to key lime pie (thanks to Megan), and if that's not available, then lemon meringe pie filling.

Perfect date? (And don't say "April 20-something, not too hot not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.")when Mickey and I hiked to a small lake in the Sierras and rowed across the lake in his little row boat. I remember puff balls dancing across the top of the water.

Best vacation memory. traveling across the desert with all three of my kids on the way to Uncle Jack's and Aunt Sue's

I want to visit: Washington DC and The Sacred Grove

Best year in school and why? My sophomore year at Ricks (BYU-Idaho) because of my roommates. I am still in touch with Gay Singleton Patterson and it's been 41 years ago. YUCK - that sounds like a long time ago...

What is something you want others to know about you and try to remember.
What an amazing 15 years it was to be a single parent with my three super kids.

"I would be confused and emotionally unstable if I wasn't a member of the Church."

"I regret not taking dancing lessons." (REALLY?)

"I'm glad I teach school (first grade)."

"In ten years I hope I'm retired and still able to hike in the mountains with Mickey."

"The best thing about my life is the Gospel, the husband, the kids, the grandkids, the Megan/Mark, my Honda Pilot, my red laptop."

"I want to change my stuffy nose - allergies."

Holy Smokes...this was a lot of thinking! OW!

Popcorn Sunday at Grandma Susie's

It was Sunday, Grandma Susie's hair had some LOONNNGGG roots, so Lindsay and the kids came over to fix the brown (HA, HA) roots. There's nothing better on a Sunday than the smell of popcorn and hair dye. There's something for everyone! You might ask, "Where's Norm?" Yes, there was something for everyone...Norm was home taking a nap after working all night long and then attending church. The hair turned out GREAT!

And then there are three more...

These are the three who hold my heart even though they are miles away! Look at those smiles! Yes! Smiles over miles and miles...I'm feeling a little like Dr. Seuss

Breakfast with Bailey

A picture is worth a thousand words. Guess who loves bacon? Yep, it's the Bumble bee (better knows as Bailey). Breakfast was with Mickey, Megan, Mark, Andie, Easton (not here quite yet) and Bailey. Megan so graciously took this picture to document our morning meal.

It was a delicous meal! Mickey and I were feeling full and fabulous.

Andie, Easton and Megan were feeling angelic after a heavenly meal.

Post breakfast left room for LOOOOOOVE!

Remembering late is better than not remembering at all

If I could write a letter to President Hinckley, something I always meant to do, it would be this:

Dear President Hinckley,
I really look forward to seeing and hearing you in April and October. I love you because you are a prophet, but I love you more because of who I think you are. I think you are approachable. I think you are accepting. I think you are sure. I think you are humble and unassuming. I think you are entertaining. I think you are brilliant and have incredible foresight. I think you love the Lord and know Him. I think you love me as you love all the members of His church. I think you have worn yourself out in His service. I think I want to be just like you when I grow up.
With love,
Sue Witt

a correction...

About the Short Stuff Cafe...Mickey just told me that the price I mentioned for the cost of my breakfast is not the common price. So, please let me keep my sweet deal and don't go in and ask for the same breakfast at the same price...Okay?!?

I am not a BORING Blogger

But I am a week end blogger...so there!

I will share some of my favorite things - over time. How about once a week? And, how about on the week ends?

This week end (because I am the week end blogger) I want introduce you to my breakfast friends. Every day that I go to school I stop at the Chevron station on the corner of Eureka and Rocky Ridge in Roseville to have 2 scrambled eggs, two pieces of bacon, pepperjack cheese and a piece of fast toast (that is Carter's name for delicious whole wheat bread -toasted). I also compliment this gourmet meal with a diet Pepsi topped off with Cherry Pepsi. Is your mouth watering? These wonderful people serve me with a smile every day. I call them and they have it ready for me when I arrive at the 'Short Stuff Cafe'. Yes, my little breakfast corner even has a name. AND, I get all of the above for $2.87. Tell me that's not a deal! There are those of you who don't believe this really happens...Now you know. It's REAL.
