Wanted: Three kids lined up for the Wiggles Concert

Doesn't it look like three guilty kids at a police line-up. I swear they didn't do it! They would NEVER do anything wrong.

Two Cousins Reviewing the Wiggles Concert

The picture speaks for itself. It also melts me. What a couple of cuties.

The Making of Grandma Memories

Thursday night I was invited to go to the Wiggles Live Concert with Morgan and Bailey. I was a default guest because Easton (darling, Easton) was just too young at 8 days old to appreciate the Wiggles. But, oh the joy of watching Bailey, Carter, and Marin was almost too much for a Grandma to take. Morgan bought Bailey the "Dorothy tu-tu". She is still wearing it two days later. Just enjoy these pictures of 3/7ths of Grandma Susie's grandkids.

The Saturday before Easter...

Yep, the Saturday before Easter found Megan at the Easter Egg Hunt swinging to and fro with a big smile on the playground swings. I think my favorite view is the 'fro'.

The Saturday before Easter...

Isn't is a beautiful spring day? The Witt kids (belonging to the other Half-Witt) asked us to go to an Easter Egg hunt in Loomis. Emily and her beau (soon to be a permanent fixture)David brought Mckenzie, Jackson, and Lukas. April and her beau (soon to be a permanent fixture) Peter brought Amanda and Maile. The kids had a great time chasing down those illusive Easter eggs. Again, what a beautiful spring day!

Did you know that Megan is an excellent cook?

It was Easter Sunday and we needed a special something to celebrate the day. Megan got busy and made a delicious homemade (well almost...we made it at home) lemon merangue (how close is the spelling?) pie and (wait until you read this!) a unique Jello salad. Please notice Megan's happy face and her ballet pointed toes...such a necessary part of a great cook. The jelly bean Jello topping was a real award winner. Hey, should we enter our recipe into a cooking contest? It's all up to Megan.

Ahha! Now I know what Mom (Grandma Betty) does when she is home alone.

When I woke up Saturday morning, I found these binocculars beside Mom's wheelchair. Hmmm. I wondered why they were there. Then I knew...we have a really nice man (a little younger than Mom/Grandma Betty living next door to us. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Could she be watching him from a distance? MOM! you should be ashamed of yourself!

The proof is in the pictures. Easton Tyler is a DARLING little boy. Andie did a GREAT job of getting him here safely. Her labor was about 5 hours long from beginning to end. She is my hero! Not only did she do her part, but Andie was also immensely entertaining. No swear words, no being onery, NOTHING! just humor and lots of hard work. In case you haven't noticed...I am not only the proud Grandma, but the proud mom as well.

Morgan was beaming the whole time! He is a wonderful husband and father. He was right there to assist Andie any way that he could. The party was complete when Bailey came. She gave her mom a kiss just before Easton was born. She was so excited to meet her baby brother. She kissed him just before she left with Grandma Linda and told him she loved him. PRECIOUS!

More pictures will follow, but this has been a long hard day for me. I had to make sure I wasn't too dramatic and overly concerned. It was tough! Yes, I am cracking myself up! It was a joy to be a part of this meaningful day. I'll never forget it.

Andie is not pregnant anymore, and I can prove it!

Ohhhh, so you think you need more proof? Well, here it is!

In honor of little kids and Easter..

A mom from my classroom made a treat for the kids. These are HoHo's made to look like Peeps driving cars. She used Neeco candies for the wheels, a Life Saver for the steering wheel and Skittles for the headlights. No, the Peeps are not being stabbed with a toothpick. She had to prop up the Bunny Peep with a toothpick.

Do you ever watch the sky?

I do! So many years ago, when the kids were little, we lived in a tiny duplex with a 3x4 window in the living room. The room was so dark and so small. I didn't even know it until we moved to a place where I could see the sky. I have watched the sky intently since then. I LOVE THE SKY! And of course the clouds that are often a part of it.

I was watching these clouds the other day while I was driving to Andie's house and experienced a few horn honks. Duh! I think it's okay to share lanes on the freeway. Watching the sky is like a touching the eternities. Really...the sky NEVER ends. Neither does eternity.

I"MMMMM BACKKKK!

Open House is done and over for another year. You'd think that after doing this 19 times I could manage a non-stressful activity. NOPE! Life has been nearly non-existent for at least two weeks. Poor, sweet, wonderful, Mickey referred to himself as 'the chore boy' the other night. Ouch.

OKay! I've had it!

How on the world do you figure out how to get the blog in the right order? Can you tell I have an ADD (and that doesn't stand for being able to do math. It stands for Attention Deficit Disorder)brain? I'm nearly incapable of organization. HELPPPPPP!

Linday, the sis, did a great shower for the Andie (and Easton)

Lindsay worked so hard to give Andie a baby shower for Easton. It was GREAT! This picture is of Linsday sitting beside Andie's mother-in-law, Linda. Lindsay should be smiling. All who attended had a great time. Here are some of the other pictures of "the shower"...

The BEST Baby Shower, maybe any kind of shower, game

The 'game' was the best! Lindsay had balloons floating around the room. We thought they were just there for decoration, but there was more to it than that. She had put different little boy's names in each balloon. The object of the game was to sit on the balloon, popping it and then to read the name that had been in the balloon. If you popped the balloon with Easton's name in it, then you won. Yes, we were all grown ladies sitting on balloons to pop them. You should have heard the squeals as the ballons did indeed pop and we did indeep plop. It was great. I didn't win! Oh, wait a minute...I did too. It doesn't take much to entertain me.

Bailey was a star. She loved opening Easton's presents. She truly understands that the presents were for her little brother. She was as delighted as if they were for her and commented many times on how cute the present was. She was DELIGHTFUL!

Andie's (Easton's) Baby Shower

The Baby Shower on March 1 was GREAT! Those who attended were so kind (even those who were not able to attend were kind). We all had a great time. Andie is finally looking pregant and there is nothing wrong with that! Oh, sure, maybe a little uncomfortable...but that goes with the territory. She's still a CUTE pregnant lady.
